Pulse Mallorca Training Camp 2018

DAY 1 – 8th April

Our first day here in Mallorca began with a morning briefing. Then the groups got organised, and following a quick puncture repair, completed an easy 50k cycle to get acclimatised.

DAY 2 – 9th April

Today we headed for the mountains, with hilly rides for everyone. Interspersed with the obligatory cake stop of course.

One of the club groups tackled Sa Calobra, but for the majority this challenge is reserved for Day 5.

DAY 3 – 10th April

A varied day today with sea swims, beach discoveries, cake stops, and post ride stretches.

Ultraman World Champion and SunTri coach Steffi Steinberg gave a presentation on her 2017 ‘race across America’ where she was a member of the winning team

DAY 4 – 11th April

Easy day today for the gang. Track session, a short sea swim, some shopping and birthday celebrations!

This evenings class was on the psychology of sport, and was given by SunTri coach Rob Griffith.

DAY 5 – 12th April

Today was the big ride to Sa Colobra, the notorious CAT1 climb here in Mallorca! Over 2000m of climbing on a glorious day 🌞😎🚵‍♀💨

At the end of the day, a dip of the legs in the ice-cold pool was sorely needed.

DAY 6 – 13th April

Final day of our training camp in Mallorca with SunTri. A torrential rain shower scuppered any long ride plans but lots still done including strength, a short spin, and a sea swim. The last classroom session was with SunTri head coach Rob Griffith.

Great week of training!! Bring on race season.

DAY 7 – 14th April

That’s a wrap!! End of a great week of training in Mallorca with the SunTri training camp! Off home to Dublin to find some sunshine 🌞😂☔☔☔☔
