The Science Bit!

This is the perfect opportunity to get race practise and also to compare how you progress year on year and build up to Olympic distance if you are completely new to triathlon.

Scoring will take place on all 4 races, with scores taken from your best 20k (If you do two of course), the 40k and the hill TT.

The ideal scenario is that everyone competes in 3 (20k, 40k and Hill TT) but a minimum to be in position to win the overall, is that you compete in the hill TT and either, the 20 or 40k individual TT.

If it’s a case you can’t compete in either, 1 of the 2 x 20ks or the 40k TT, you will be given the same points as if you raced but did not come in the top 3, so 2 points if you marshal.

If you don’t marshal (to claim them two points), you can’t be considered for the overall champ and you receive no points.

I understand that we won’t always be able to accommodate everyone but these TT races are part of your training to get you ready for race season and the sensation of racing against the clock and ultimately a bit of fun and a chance to get everyone from the club together, beginners and elites.
