National Series 2017 – Roll of Honour

In advance of the annual Awards Night on Saturday, where the biggest celebration will no doubt be Pulse winning CLUB OF THE YEAR, we just want to say well done to all those who took part in the National Series this season. Lots of us raced all around the country and there were plenty of AG winners.

17 Pulsers completed the four races required to meet the NS qualifying criteria. Well done to Sarah Stapleton, Dervla Owens, Clare Dillon, Rosie Clarke, Dee Needham, Siobhan Quain, Eithne Connolly, Mark Dunne, Christian Jones, Vincent Galvin, Kevin Derrig, Mark Fitzpatrick, Dermot Duffy, Hugh O’Malley, Sam Buck, Eamon Macfhionnlaoich and Trevor Drennan.

Congratulations to the Pulse Ladies on coming 3rd in the Club Series. Pulse also came 5th in both the Men’s and Mixed categories.

Also well done to Orla Walsh who came 10th in the Cat 1 Super Series, and Paddy Barry who came 14th in the Cat 2.

Huge congratulations to Kim Hickey who needed a truck for her TI Awards and medals; 3rd in AG and 3rd overall in the Standard Distance National Championships, 2nd in AG in the National Middle Distance National Championships and 1st in AG in the Aquathlon National Championship.

Donnacha McCarthy (with Dave Tilly) collected the TI Award for 1st in PTVI Para-Triathlon National Championships, and Dee Needham collected 1st in AG and 3rd overall in the National Aquabike Championship.

The dates have been announced for the 2018 NS races and we will advise the races that have been selected for the Pulse Club Championships, at a later stage.
