Pulse @ Lough Cutra Castle
The first Standard Distance race in the National Series calendar took place on Sunday in the beautiful setting of Lough Cutra Castle.
After an early morning heavy downpour, the weather behaved for the remainder of the day and conditions weren’t too bad. The swim was somewhat choppy but the water temperature was perfect. The cross country run is a real test after a challenging 43k bike course, but all Pulsers raced well and made it across the finish line. Dee Needham finished 3rd in her AG.
Next up in the National Series is Fastnet Sprint Distance in Cork on the 9th of June.
Also at Lough Cutra, an all male crew of Pulsers did the gruelling Middle Distance Gauntlet race, Jana Heppner raced in the Half Marathon and junior member James Ulrich Castro raced in the 13-15yrs triathlon.
Well done to all!
