Pulse Triathlon Club’s First Aid course

Pulse Triathlon Club’s First Aid course is on 3rd November 2012. The venue is Hibernian Healthcare, Ballymount Cross Industrial Estate, Ballymount, Dublin 24.

The course will start at 09:30 so you will need to be there at 09:15 to sign in. The course will finish at 16:30 with approx half an hour for lunch. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided by the club and there are shops nearby.

The cost for the course is €30 per person and for that each participant will receive a Heartsaver CPR cert from the Irish Heart Foundation and a cert for one day emergency first aid from CFAST Ltd.; once they are signed off as proficient by the faculty on the day.

The course content of the One Day Emergency First Aid Course will include:

Airway Management
Unconscious Casualty
Shock – Recognition and Treatment
Bleeding and Wounds
CPR – Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
Medical Emergency Conditions
Burns
Dealing with an accident and trauma patient
Fractures and Soft tissue injuries
We will have a questions and answers session at the end of the day if people have any particular topic or issue that they want clarification on.
