Racing Roundup – 11th June 2018

It was a busy and fruitful few days of racing for Pulsers over the last weekend. Esther Bayon continued her recent series of strong performances when she took third place overall at the Skerries Triathlon on Sunday. Sarah Stapleton and Leon Shakeshaft justified their trip to Schull for the Fastnet Sprint Triathlon, with Sarah coming 2nd in her AG and Leon coming 3rd in his. In the UK, Kim Hickey finished IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire in a time of 5:00:01, coming 1st in her age group. Great racing folks!

Pulse’s endurance junkie, Shay Brady, completed the Wicklow Way Race on Saturday. This ultra distance event covers 130km of the iconic long distance trail from Clonegal in Carlow to Marley Park in Dublin.

On Sunday, in glorious summer sunshine, a large contingent of Pulsers took part in the annual Wicklow 100/200 cycle event. Running since 1982, this annual cycle through the scenic Wicklow hills attracts over 3000 riders from many different countries.
