2019 was a fantastic season for the Club in BMW National Series racing. Between the Duathlon and Triathlon Series, and various National Championship races throughout the season, Pulse will up lots of awards and medals at this year’s TI Awards Night on 23rd November.
Congratulations to Kim Hickey, Sarah Stapleton, Esther Bayon, Siobhan Quain, Joanna Butler, Clare Dillon, Kieran Hopkins, Chris Watts and Niall Connaughton who will collect awards and/or medals on the night!
Congratulations to Kim Hickey who was 4th overall and Esther Bayon and Kieran Hopkins who both placed 10th overall in the BMW National Series.
In the Age Group standings, Kim Hickey placed 1st and Esther Bayon placed 4th in the 40 – 44 category, Sarah Stapleton placed 2nd in the 35 – 39 category and Kieran Hopkins placed 3rd in the 35 – 39 category.
BMW National Series Championship Racing
At the Sprint distance championships at DCT, Sarah Stapleton –placed 1st and Siobhan Quain placed 3rd in the 35 – 39 category. Esther Bayon placed 1st in the 40 – 44 category.
At the Standard Distance Championships at Harbourman, Co. Wicklow, Kim Hickey took 3rd Overall and 1st in the 40-44 category. Clare Dillon took 2nd place in the 30 – 34 category, Sarah Stapleton took 2nd in the 35 – 39 category and Esther Bayon took 3rd in the 40 – 44 category.
In the Male race, Kieran Hopkins took 2nd in the 35 – 39 category.
At the Middle Distance Championship Race in Sheephaven, Co Donegal, Sarah Stapleton placed 3rd in the 35 – 39 category.
At the Para Championships, held at our own race at Port Beach, Chris Watts placed 3rd overall.

- Female – 2nd
- Male – 6th
- Mixed – 3rd
Pulse also had a great season at the Duathlon NS with Sarah Stapleton placing 1st and Joanna Butler placing 2nd in the 35 -39 AG category. Jonathan Butler placed 8th overall in the mens standings.
Sarah also placed 3rd in the 35 – 39 AG at the BMW Duathlon National Championships in Sligo.
At the Aquathlon Championships held at the Bull Wall, Dollymount Strand, Esther Bayon took 1st and Niall Connaughton took 3rd in the 40 – 44 AG category.
